    • ]]>     A unique and well done portrait vase on an allover royal blue ground with gilt accents. An interesting black ground where the neoclassical portrait is painted on. We attribute the maker to one of the English Bristol glass factories and circa 1850. Of Classic design and shape this vase is in very good antique condition with no chips or cracks. Some slight color variation in the blue due to the antique age of this piece but does not detract from the beauty of.

    A pair of elegant tall mouth blown vases from the artisans on the Isle of Murano.

    This pair has green glass with hints of blue swirl and 24 karat blown gold inclusion. In wonderful vintage condition.

    The height is eighteen inches and the top rims measure two and a half inches.

    • ]]>     The overall size of this large piece with its mouth blown artistic shape, gorgeous green color and the hand painted all over 24 karat gilding really all adds up to one fantastic piece.

    While it may only be a little over 10 inches tall it’s wider body adds to the overall wow factor.

    We have had similar shapes by Moser but in much smaller scale and dimensions.

    This vase is in beautiful antique condition.

    This piece will serve well as hallway or dining table centerpiece and does need a little extra width to be displayed on to appreciate. Truly an unique art glass piece.

    • ]]>     Walter Dorwin Teague Steuben vase, circa 1933.

     

    This piece is a late example of Frederick Carder’s colored Steuben produced at a time when Carder had since been promoted from Steuben to work in Corning’s profitable architectural glass division. Steuben at this time, during the Depression, sought a new direction and so hired noted Industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague to appeal to changing tastes. His design fully embraces the Art Deco style so in vogue then. The result is a modern creation that is both deceptively simple and elegant. In this simplicity, there is a wonderful textural contrast between the smooth, shiny Mirror Black glass (the outer casing) and the rough matte Alabaster glass below, which is revealed through the acid-etching process. This rarity packs a striking visual punch. Very Good Antique Condition Please note, the shiny mirror black vase was hard to capture without some part of the flash showing.
